An introduction to Newland Communities

Hollyhock is one of two new Metroplex communities being created by Newland Communities and their partner, North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH).

The land for Hollyhock was purchased in a joint venture between NASH, the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of SEKISUI HOUSE, LTD., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and NEWLAND REAL ESTATE GROUP, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of Hollyhock and its sister community, Canyon Falls.

Hollyhock and Canyon Falls, a 1,200-acre community now open in Flower Mound, are among the developments that the NASH-Newland partnership manages together across the United States.

Hollyhock and Canyon Falls represent a return to Dallas-Fort Worth for Newland, which completed its last community in the Metroplex in 2008. That was the 5,000-acre Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, widely recognized as one of the region’s most successful and enduring communities.

Newland Communities is the largest private developer of master-planned mixed-use communities in the United States. With expertise in creating a special sense of community, Newland brings to life the unique history, culture, and traditions of the land we develop.

With offices in many U.S. cities, Newland has been successful for over 45 years in community development thanks to a thoughtfully crafted portfolio of communities with geographic diversity, and a range of homes and amenities for all different types of families living life in ways that matter most to them.

Headquartered in San Diego, California, Newland is currently developing communities in 14 states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland,Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

Newland’s partner, NASH, establishes joint ventures to create innovative and sustainability-conscious master-planned communities, including Hollyhock. NASH is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, and Sekisui House is headquartered in Osaka, Japan, with affiliates and subsidiaries around the globe.
