From French to Tudor, Drees’ new Hollyhock home plans inspired by classic architecture
The brand-new home plans that Drees Homes has created for Hollyhock will inspire visions of the French countryside, a quaint English village, or a charming American neighborhood from the last century.
“Drees is passionate about creating beautiful and inspiring streetscapes, and our new Hollyhock collection will allow us to offer a great deal of harmony and variety,” said Julie Hauge, Texas region sales director for Drees.
Hauge said that each of Drees’ seven new home plans for Hollyhock will be offered in two of three different styles: French Eclectic, Tudor Revival and American Craftsman.
Homebuyers are very interested in such architectural variety.
“We’ve listened carefully to our buyers in the Metroplex, and they want designs that will invite them to step back in time and enjoy the best of classic architecture from the past,” Hauge said. “At the same time, they want open, modern interiors with the ability to customize, and we offer that as well.”
Drees’ new home plans in Hollyhock will be priced from the $400,000s to $600,000s, and will range from approximately 2,200 to almost 3,800 square feet. Five designs are two-story homes. Two are single-story plans, and 1.5-story options are offered.
These plans will offer architecturally detailed exteriors with spacious front porches, and most will offer outdoor living areas. “Our Hollyhock neighborhood has alley access, so we have placed the garage at the rear of each home, further enhancing the architecture and streetscapes,” Hauge said.
Drees’ Hollyhock model home will be the two-story Marigold. It will be built with a Tudor Revival exterior featuring a blend of brick and stucco, a high-pitched roof, and split-timber accents on the porch and gables.
Inside, the Marigold will offer drama, with a 20-foot ceiling in the family room, and a wall of windows looking out to the covered patio.
Another unique feature is the combination laundry room and home office in the downstairs master suite, accessible through the walk-in closet.
“We wanted these new plans to be very functional and flexible, and we are happy to move walls to accommodate a buyer’s needs and ideas,” Hauge said.
Several of Drees’ new plans offer a courtyard-style layout, with the porch and interior views oriented to the side, making them perfect for Hollyhock homesites with side views of parks and greenbelts.
From the Azalea to the Kamelia, all of Drees’ new plans in Hollyhock are named after flowers. “These plans were designed especially for Hollyhock, which is also named after a beautiful flower. The names reflect our excitement about being part of this terrific new Frisco community,” Hauge said.
