Hollyhock schools have great ratings from GreatSchools.org
One of several valuable resources for evaluating public schools, GreatSchools.org recently implemented a new school rating system to include additional factors beyond test scores and college readiness data, to give parents a more accurate idea of how effectively a school serves all of its students.
The good news for Hollyhock is that all Frisco ISD schools serving the community have high ratings from GreatSchools.org and other groups.
Newman Elementary School has an overall GreatSchools rating of 9 out of 10, with additional 9 ratings for Test Scores, Student Progress and Equity.
Trent Middle School has an overall 8 rating from GreatSchools, with a 9 for Test Scores and an 8 for Student Progress.
Lone Star High School has an overall 7 rating from Great Schools. Among subcategories, it has an 8 for Test Scores, a 9 for College Readiness, and a 10 for Advanced Courses.
(Starting in August, 2018, Hollyhock students will be zoned to attend Frisco ISD’s brand-new Memorial High School – more details on this exciting new campus to come!)
Other leading school ratings groups include Niche and Children at Risk.
Frisco ISD has an overall A+ grade from Niche, with an A+ for Newman Elementary, and an A+ for Lone Star High. Niche does not yet have rating for Trent Middle, which opened in 2015.
Children at Risk rates Newman Elementary with an A- and it gives Trent Middle an A+. Lone Star High receives an A.
