Hollyhock has convenient grocery shopping in the bag
Hollyhock residents of all ages are sure to work up healthy appetites enjoying all the amenities in and around the community, from swimming at Fields House to mountain biking in Northwest Community Park next door. Good thing there’s such a wide (and growing) variety of grocery stores nearby, offering everything from farm-fresh veggies to gourmet delicacies.
Here’s a list of some of the top nearby places where Hollyhock residents can shop for groceries.
Sprouts Farmers Market – Located at 2500 Eldorado Parkway (at the corner of Teel), Sprouts Farmers Market is one of the closest grocery stores to Hollyhock. Opened in 2017, it is also one of the newest. Sprouts is known for its wide selection of fresh produce, along with bulk bin items such as nuts, grains and candies. This store also offers a juice bar, a fresh sushi station, and an olive and salad bar.
Market Street – Located just a few miles from Hollyhock at 11999 Dallas Parkway, Market Street is a unique, one-stop shopping experience that combines everyday grocery needs with gourmet and specialty items, whole-health products and chef-prepared meals-to-go. Other highlights include gifts, flowers, and locally grown and organic produce. This delicious and timesaving destination is truly like several stores under one roof.
Aldi – Aldi has expanded its Frisco store at 6951 Preston Road to offer an even larger array of fresh foods. The German grocery has developed a cult following in the U.S. with low prices on private label merchandise and emphasis on organic foods. Aldi’s home country rival, Lidl, is also said to be coming to Frisco.
Kroger Marketplace – This super-sized version of a grocery store combined with departments for clothes, shoes, housewares and home décor, is located near Hollyhock at 2671 Little Elm Parkway. For foodies, this store includes sushi, bakery and deli departments.
Super Target – This store at 4885 Eldorado Parkway in Frisco reflects Target’s focus on offering an expanded selection of fresh foods in its bid to be a one-stop grocery destination. Along with pantry staples, expect to see more organic and gluten-free items.
Wal-Mart Supercenter – This supercenter at 12220 FM 423 is conveniently close to Hollyhock and is open 24 hours. The grocery department offers deli, bakery, beer and wine, and grocery pickup services. Wal-Mart has recently expanded its offerings of organic produce, fresh sushi, gourmet cheeses and other specialty items.
Asian Flavors – Frisco Ranch, an Asian-themed retail center located near the intersection of Preston Road and Warren Parkway, is anchored by two Asian stores: 99 Ranch Market and Daiso Japan, often called “the Japanese dollar store.” 85C Bakery & Cafe and a variety of dessert and tea shops are also now open in the first phase.
Farmer’s Markets – Farmer’s markets have never been more popular, and the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market is one of the best. Since 2007, this market in nearby downtown Frisco has offered everything from juicy peaches to vine-ripened tomatoes, along with freshly baked bread, honey, arts and crafts items, and more. Market days are Saturday mornings from May through October. Check hours before heading over.
Also in downtown Frisco, the new Frisco Fresh Market recently opened in June 2018.
