Moving from L.A., the Takeguchi family quickly adopts Frisco as its new hometown
Jina and Terence Takeguchi moved to Hollyhock from Los Angeles with their daughter, Harper, in the summer of 2016.
The family said they chose Hollyhock because they immediately felt a strong sense of community here, after visiting at the recommendation of their Realtor. Coming from California, they also appreciated the spaciousness and value offered by the new homes of Hollyhock, and they loved the idea of living in the vibrant heart of Frisco.
Since moving into their new home, their favorite thing about Hollyhock is the amenities, including Fields House, Fields Park, Dandelion Park and the miles of trails.
Though Frisco is much smaller than L.A., the Takeguchi family has truly taken to their new hometown, trying different local restaurants and family attractions as often as they can. They love taking Harper to Story Time at the Frisco Public Library, and enjoying Summer Moon Coffee on Frisco’s Main Street. Frisco Square and The Star in Frisco are also favorite destinations.
The Takeguchis have already enjoyed many of Hollyhock’s lifestyle events, including Holly Jolly Holiday, and Jina looks forward to more daytime events in the future, such as Mommy and Me.
As for new families moving to Frisco, Jina hopes they recognize the “amazing” Frisco Independent School District and the area’s many opportunities for outdoor recreation.
