Fitness Boot Camp helps Hollyhock residents get in shape
Hollyhock strives to be a fit and healthy community, and toward that goal, Hollyhock is hosting its first Fitness Boot Camp for residents this month.
Offered in conjunction with Frisco’s Body Bionics, the Boot Camp will provide residents of all ages and skill levels with an outdoor workout designed to improve their strength, speed, agility, balance and flexibility. The program helps participants burn body fat, tone muscle, and build cardiovascular endurance. Last but not least, the workout helps to increase energy levels and offers a sense of accomplishment, according to Body Bionics.
The Fitness Boot Camp is part of an ongoing series of healthy programs provided for Hollyhock residents. Earlier this year, Hollyhock hosted a Family Steps Challenge. The winner, resident Morgan Lang, completed 413,521 steps to win a Lululemon gift card.
Along with organized activities, Hollyhock residents can keep healthy with the fitness center and swimming pool at Fields House, and can enjoy miles of trails throughout the community. Next door, the future site of Frisco’s Northwest Community Park offers miles of mountain bike trails that are also open to runners and walkers.
