Enjoy music, makers, food & more at Hollyhock’s Get Your Frisco On

For three Saturdays in April and May, Hollyhock will showcase music, makers, food trucks and more from Frisco and beyond in our second annual Get Your Frisco on festival.

Festival dates are April 6, April 27, and May 18, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. each day. The fun takes place at Fields House and Fields Park in the heart of Hollyhock, located off of Teel Parkway, just north of Panther Creek Parkway in North Frisco.

All Get Your Frisco On activities are free except for the food trucks, and everyone is invited. Here’s the lineup.

April 6: Embellish Your Own Canvas Pillow

The festivities start on Saturday, April 6 with a Canvas Pillow Making event from Frisco’s AR Workshop. Participants will make their own 18 x 18 canvas pillow to take home, choosing colors and graphics to match their personalities and decors.

Singer/songwriter Sandy Bates will perform live music inspired by legendary blues and jazz clubs and the soulful Motown era.

The Skew U food trucks will serve up perfectly grilled skewers and sides packed with flavor.

Kids’ activities will include a caricature artist, face painter, balloon artist, a trampoline and lawn games. Hollyhock’s homebuilders will have treats at their fully furnished model homes.

April 27: Craft Your Own Cocktail

Sourced Craft Cocktails of Dallas will lead a tasting of whiskeys from around the world for guests ages 21 and up. Sourced’s mixologists will also teach participants how to make several popular whiskey-based cocktails.

Live music by acoustic guitarist and singer Justin Cash will feature covers of popular jazz, blues and country songs.

The Tutta’s Pizza food truck will serve slices of their signature Texas-style pizzas topped with slow-smoked meats.

For kids, there’ll be a bubble show starting at 12:30pm, face painter, balloon artist, a trampoline and lawn games.

May 18: Make a Custom Sign or Lazy Susan

AR Workshop will return for the final day of Get Your Frisco On, inspiring participants to create their own round signs or Lazy Susans that are sure to become family treasures.

Vocalist and guitarist Tony Rey will perform songs ranging from blues and soft rock, to jazz and dance music from all eras.

The food truck will be Ruthie’s Rolling Café, serving up dreamy gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches with creative cheeses, meats, veggies & sauces.

For kids, there’ll be a petting zoo, face painter, balloon artist, a trampoline and lawn games.
