Hollyhock’s Frisco ISD schools earns “A” and “A+” ratings
The report cards are out, and the highly regarded Frisco ISD schools serving Hollyhock have earned A ratings from the Texas Education Agency and Niche. Here’s a quick look at the ratings for each of our neighborhood schools.
Newman Elementary
Newman Elementary has a overall A rating from the TEA, with a score of 96. The TEA gives Newman an A for Student Achievement, and Distinction Designations for Science and Comparative Closing the Gaps.
Niche gives Newman Elementary an overall grade of A+, with an A+ for Teachers and A’s for Academics and Diversity.
Trent Middle School
Trent Middle School has an A rating from the TEA, with a score of 94. The TEA also awards Trent with As for Student Achievement and Closing the Gaps.
Niche gives Trent an overall A+ rating, with an A+ for Teachers and A’s for Academics and Diversity. Niche ranks Trent as the No. 8 Best Public Middle School in Collin County.
Memorial High School
Memorial High School has an A rating from the TEA, with a score of 93. Memorial also has A’s for Student Achievement and Closing the Gaps from the TEA.
Memorial earned six of the TEA’s seven available Distinction Designations, including ELA/Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Postsecondary Readiness and Closing the Gaps.

Frisco ISD
Frisco ISD also excels at a district level, with an overall A rating and a score of 93 from TEA. Frisco ISD also has A’s for Student Achievement and Academic Growth from the TEA.
Niche ranks Frisco ISD as the No. 1 Best School District in Collin County. Niche gives Frisco ISD an overall A+ grade, with more A+ grades for Academics and College Prep. Statewide, Niche ranks Frisco ISD as the No. 6 best district, out of more than 1,000 districts rated.
